Biography:
Jeffrey Perry is a physiatrist and specialist
in the nonsurgical management of neck and back pain utilizing physical
medicine modalities, pain management/anesthetic procedures, and
osteopathic manipulative medicine techniques.
His expertise extends to the areas of sports medicine, motor
point blocks, spinal cord injury, repetitive stress injury, carpal
tunnel syndrome, traumatic brain injury, and many other aspects of
physican medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Perry's areas of publications include osteopathic
manipulative therapy and pain management. He has given many
presentations focusing on professional and patient education on a wide
range of health and rehabilitation topics.
Dr. Perry is currently a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic
Surgery as well as Rehabilitation Medicine at New York University School
of Medicine as well as NYU Medical Center.
He is an Attending Physician at the Spine Center of New York
University's Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is an Adjunct Clinical
Professor of Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Perry serves as the Director of the NYCOM/Nassau
University Medical Center Osteopathic Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Residency Training Program, as well as their Director of
Interventional Pain Management.
He is the Medical Advisor at the Occupational Industrial
Orthopaedic Center of NYU/HJD. Dr. Perry currently serves as the
Chairman of New York State's Osteopathic Medical Society's Worker's
Compensation Board Committee. He has served on the Committee to evaluate
and revise New York State's Worker's Compensation Guidelines. He owns
and practices at his office in Deer Park.
New York College of Osteopathic Medicine:
Dr. Perry graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. He completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and his fellowship in Pain Management at Downstate Medical Center in the Department of Anesthesiology.
